Our compensation model follows common market standards. It consists of a monthly base fee for the duration of the collaboration, as well as a success fee based on the sale and receipt of the purchase price. Legal advisory services are not included in VAP’s offerings – if needed, we are happy to recommend competent and experienced law firms with whom we have successfully closed deals.

Additionally, we obtain direct contact details from tax advisors during the preparation phase, ensuring that key financial discussions can be handled efficiently. Before starting a sales process, we get to know you and your company and assess your individual situation. If selling your company is a viable option, we provide a detailed initial valuation free of charge, based on market standards, and generate the first buyer candidates. Based on this, you can decide whether to mandate VAP. Once you choose to work with VAP, the sales process is structured into five phases: the preparation phase, market approach, due diligence, negotiation phase, and closing phase. You should plan for a total process duration of six to eight months.
VAP exclusively applies valuation methods that derive a realistic and market-based valuation range. The multiples method is the primary approach, as it serves as the most important negotiation basis, particularly in the SME segment.
